Kale Arge to Deliver First KTJ-3700 Turbojet Engine for BLACK ATMACA Cruise Missile

Istanbul, Turkey - January 22, 2024 - Kale Arge, a Turkish defense technology company, will deliver the first KTJ-3700 turbojet engine for the BLACK ATMACA cruise missile in the coming days.

The BLACK ATMACA is a surface-to-surface cruise missile being developed by Roketsan, a Turkish defense industry company. The missile is based on the ATMACA anti-ship missile, which is already in service with the Turkish Navy.

The KTJ-3700 engine is a domestically developed turbojet engine that will provide the BLACK ATMACA with its propulsion. The engine has a thrust of 3,700 Newtons and is designed to be lightweight and fuel-efficient.

"The KTJ-3700 is a state-of-the-art engine that will give the BLACK ATMACA a significant advantage over its rivals," said Cüneyt Kenger, general manager of Kale Arge. "It is a testament to the growing capabilities of the Turkish defense industry."

The delivery of the first KTJ-3700 engine is a major milestone in the development of the BLACK ATMACA. The missile is expected to enter service in 2025 and will give the Turkish Armed Forces a long-range, precision-strike capability.
